I could have never imagined that a day-long layover in a city I couldn't even point to on a map (the best I could do was in the eastern portion of the United States) would capture my heart so completely. The fragrant aromas, the plentiful flora and foliage, rampant kindness from its citizens welcoming me with open arms- all these qualities in one city are almost unrivaled.
